Please Forgive Me

When I was twenty-three, I came home from visiting some friends in Denver and found out that my mom was living in a Motel 6. I felt I couldn't do much to help. That’s when I wrote ‘Please Forgive Me" a song about asking for forgiveness, having the feeling I had failed to do all the things I had promised as a boy. The lyrics read "please forgive me, I'm not going to make it to the party of the year." The party of the year was the party I would throw with Mom to celebrate finally getting ahead of the eight ball, beating the odds, throwing a big whoop at that side of the cosmos that keeps good people down. Buy my CD and join the party planning committee.
